We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East
LLC Qatar for:
Electrical Assistant technician:
This position is responsible for assist the maintenance activities of
electrical equipment and systems with responsibility for operation of different
sub-stations for the FACILITY.
Your main
duties will be:
Routine/Preventative maintenance Corrective/Break down maintenance
Experience in
Power utility, Broad plant maintenance experience on HV Substations.
Broad plant
maintenance experience on switchboards up to 6.6kV, motors, un-interruptible power
supplies (UPS), thyristor rectifiers, variable speed drives and general plant
electrical utilities are required.
Experience
that includes PLCs, HVAC, instrumentation and the use of computer-based
man-machine interfaces is preferred. Switching and operating experience on
plant at 415V, 6.6kV, 33kV and 220kV is highly desirable.

Skills and Experience
Candidates
Profile:
Ideally, you will have an electrical trade certificate or Science discipline or
equivalent.
Shall have at
least 3 year experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry or in a
similar system I facility.
You will have
good interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as, a good level of
computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
The candidate
selected for this position shall have ability to understand & communicate
in English.
Candidates
having Gulf experience will be preferred.
Candidates
shall have good health and sound physique.
Demonstrated
ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural
backgrounds
